The engines of the marking machine mainly come in two types: gasoline engines and battery powered engines. ‌

Gasoline engines are the most common source of power in line drawing engines, usually using internationally renowned brands such as Honda. These engines have stable performance, are easy to purchase, and range in power from 2.5HP to 20HP. For example, the HW hand push two-component dot coating and marking machine often uses the Honda GX160 gasoline engine with 5.5HP as power, which has the characteristics of high pressure, no burrs on the marking, and large marking width.

Battery driven marking machines are more suitable for small or specific occasions. Battery driven marking machines are environmentally friendly and noise free, but their endurance is relatively weak, making them suitable for construction sites that require low-noise environments.

The engine maintenance of the marking machine mainly includes the following aspects:

1、 Gasoline engine maintenance

① Regularly check the engine oil capacity: Regularly check the engine oil capacity to ensure that the oil level is within the appropriate range. When checking the oil level, make sure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, the engine is turned off and cooled for at least ten minutes to allow the oil to flow back to the oil pan.

② Oil change: Regularly change the oil according to its usage. When changing the engine oil, use the recommended brand and model of oil for the vehicle to avoid engine damage caused by using inappropriate oil.

③ Check the oil quality: Pull out the oil dipstick and observe the color and texture of the oil. If the oil shows abnormal color or texture, such as becoming too black or containing impurities, the oil should be replaced immediately.

④ Check the oil filter: Regularly check the oil filter to ensure it is not clogged. If the filter is too dirty, a new filter should be replaced to maintain the cleanliness of the oil.

⑤ Check other components of the engine: In addition to the oil, other related components of the engine, such as belts, water pipes, oil pipes, etc., should be regularly inspected to ensure that they are not aging or leaking.

Through the above maintenance measures, the service life of the marking machine engine can be effectively extended, ensuring its stable operation.

2、 Maintenance of electric marking machine

① Regularly inspect and clean the exterior of the engine: Regularly clean the dust and oil stains on the exterior of the engine, especially in dusty environments. It is recommended to clean it daily to maintain the cleanliness of the engine.

② Check the grounding bolts and insulation condition: Regularly check the tightening of the grounding bolts and whether there are any burn marks. At the same time, check the insulation effect of the insulation material, keep the motor winding dry, and avoid damaging the insulation in humid environments and corrosive gases.

③ Measuring insulation resistance: Regularly measure the insulation resistance of the motor, especially in humid environments, and increase the frequency of measurement.

④ Replace lubricating oil and clean bearings: Every once in a while (usually every six months), clean the bearings with kerosene and replace them with new lubricating oil. Be careful not to use too much oil, usually occupying 1/3 to 1/2 of the oil chamber, to avoid overheating or spillage.

⑤ Check the starting device: Regularly inspect the starting device to check for burns, oxidation, and good contact between the contacts and wiring.
